Barrhall Residential Home is a privately run residential home for the elderly. It was established in 1987 and is situated 2 miles outside Portaferry. The house has facilities available for fifteen residents, together with a sitting room, dining room and sunroom. The large garden and decking area off the sun room offers a peaceful spot to enjoy the panoramic views of Strangford Lough encompassing the Mourne Mountains.

Our aim is to provide a comfortable home for the elderly; to offer a lifestyle and atmosphere that is non-institutional and 'family-like'. Each resident is encouraged to be as independant as possible, and treated as an individual. We aim to make our residents lives feel more secure and less lonely.
